The Home School Connection

Who We Are
The WWA Home School Connection Fine Arts and Enrichment Program is designed to enhance the solid learning students are receiving at home, not replace it.

We offer your home schooled children unique opportunities to take classes on subjects that might be more difficult for you to teach at home, are a greater financial investment, or are simply more effective in a group setting.

Additionally, WWA’s Home School Connection forms a community that brings home school families together. Best of all, this program is FREE to home school families.

Serving students in Kindergarten through 6th grades, WWA’s Home School Connection supports your homeschooling efforts with a wide variety of fun, yet educational, classes. We offer a fine arts and enrichment program including Performing Arts, Music, Art, Creative Writing, hands-on science, PE, and more. Class sizes are small to create a low student to teacher ratio.

Students entering Kindergarten must have reached the age of five years on or before October 1st of the school year in which they enroll. Students entering first grade must have reached the age of six years on or before October 1st of the school year in which they enroll. Classes are held at, but not affiliated with, Family In Christ Community Church at their facility located at 11355 N. Sheridan Blvd., Westminster. Students attend one day per week, Tuesday or Wednesday from 8:30-2:50. We also offer our program in Evergreen on Thursdays. Classes are held at, but not affiliated with, Conference Baptist Church at their facility located at 27154 North Turkey Creek Rd., Evergreen.

Our History
Woodrow Wilson Academy is a charter school founded by parents who believed they should have an active role in their children’s education. They wanted a curriculum rich in content introduced incrementally and sequentially from grade to grade. Our mission to help students reach their academic potential while developing strong character is now a reality. However, our concerns surrounding public education are not completely resolved. Today there is a serious inequality levied against home school families. All households are required to pay taxes, which support schools, yet home school families receive no educational benefit for those taxes. This system seems especially unfair when one takes into account the time and money these families invest in their children’s education.

In the fall of 2003, Woodrow Wilson Academy opened the doors to a new community service, the Woodrow Wilson Academy Home School Connection. Please refer to the menu for detailed class descriptions.
